One Piece X Reader | Goddess of Gold| Part 2

“We have arrived Miss (l/n),” Noel called out from outside and I looked out of my window. “Oh my~ It’s different from last year I see,” I commented. There were two additional towers and more creatures roamed.

“You’ve been here before?” Noel was curious now. “Oh yes, I was here. I came here because I was visiting my brothers.”

“Oh, and they are...?” Noel opened the carriage door and extended his hand to me. “Maverick and Jackson (l/n).”  

“Those two are outstanding students in the Academy,” Noel smiled and lead me to the main entrance. “Really now? Well, I wouldn’t expect anything less than that, though. They’ve always been like that. I wish to achieve something similar...” I smiled sadly as I clutched tightly onto my bag.

“I’m sure you’ll do excellent here. I’ll be by your side to assist you in any way possible, Milady.”  Noel bowed and I smiled in gratitude.” Thank you, Noel. Let’s go!”


All 100 students crowded in the dining hall, in front of all the teachers and principal.  Uncle Dragon stood up and glanced over to each and every one of us before breathing out a sigh and throwing a short hard glare at uncle Roger. Guess he threw his responsibility of giving a speech to Uncle Dragon.

“Greetings student, one and for all congratulations to all of you, young Piradian! Welcome all and we are happy for you to join our family. Now, we would need to sort you to the different houses and this would be your permanent arrangement. Let me introduce you to the different houses. First, we have the House of Fire. Fire represents bravery in our school and these people are ones who would be at the frontline of most actions. Next, is the House of Water. Water represents wisdom and these students are the one who cooperate with the faculties in planning the dungeon or other major battles. Thirdly, the House of Wind.  The wind represents the kindness within humans in our school and the ones who are in this house are the sideline soldiers. Even so, they are also many who fight in the frontline alongside the Fire House. Last but never the least, the House of Earth. This house represents the cunning sly foxes amongst us. That doesn’t mean they’re evil, they’re just another reflection of us. They usually fight alongside the House of Fire, creating the most destructive combination.”

As uncle Roger smiled away like an idiot, uncle Dragon resisted the urge to beat up the man. I chuckled under my breath, so soft it was non-existence.

Or so I thought.

“Erm excuse me girly, keep it down~? Some of us are trying to be polite?” Typically, a teen girl with blonde hair and blue eyes, you’ll think their either super pretty or “bimbotic”. One or the other. You would also think she has an accent that would tick you off so much.
Well, she’s a bimbo with an accent.

“Right. I’m soooo embarrassed.” I replied sarcastically with a genuine expression. The girl scoffed hatefully before flipping her rough hair onto my face.

”It’s not even a full day and some girl already has an attitude with me. Wow."

Once Dragon took his seat, Miss Nico stood up and walked down the stairs at the side. She held out a crystal orb. “This would determine which house you’ll be in for the next three years. I’ll call according to your name. First, Fin Herancol.”

The went on for the about 20 minutes, students would clap and cheer whenever there was a new additional to their huge family. Now that was left, was me and the girl from before.

“Shina Gow. Please step forward.” Miss Nico said, a little less enthusiastically as the blonde walked forward, hips swaying and a proud smile dancing on her lips.

“A Gow… I see now…”

The Gow family has had repeated bad news and never once do they show remorse or change. Gow was famous for only being in the House of Earth and every member of Gow that ever attended in The Golden Academy is only through recommendations from the Magic Council. Never once were they really wanted due to their inability to grasp any spell right.

Gow family was literally good for nothing.

Yet, nobody can do anything about them as they have the riches.

The orb glowed a bright green and a snake shadow appeared. “You are sorted into the House of Earth, no doubt. Congratulations Miss Gao.”

“No fair! I wanted to be in any house but that! There’s no cutie in that house!”

“I’m afraid you can’t change that, please join your family.”

”She’s soooo gonna get punked." I thought amusingly. Miss Nico then called my name, adding a chuckle at the end.

“Here, Miss (l/n).” I held the orb as it started to glow white. I looked deep into it and saw a small Pegasus in there, with a Griffon. “Huh?”
“Interesting, what do you see?”

“Is it a lion!?” Someone from the House of Fire yelled. His voice seemed familiar…

“No, it’s gotta be a Hawk!” Another male voice called out. He, too, has a very familiar voice.

“I bet she saw something way different.” A low voice spoke softly and I answered back, “I guess… This won’t do…” I closed my eyes and breathe out slowly. Soon, multiple voices made amusing sounds and I looked at the orb.

“Cyan… Oh, blue too…”

“...Congratulations Miss (l/n), your new family is waiting for you at the House of Water’s table. Go have a seat.” Miss Nico chuckled as she gestured to the direction I'm supposed to take.

I bowed in gratitude before turning and walking towards the House of Water. Immediately, I felt many stares but one, in particular, caught my interest. He was in year 2 and was wearing a leopard printed hat with a goatee. Just as I was about to seat with the year 1s, two year 2 came running towards me.

“Yo, you’re (full name) right? I’m Penguin and this here is Sachi. Come sit with us!” It was not a yes-or-no question, they just dragged me away.
“H-huh?! W-wait!”

”This is going to be an interesting year.”
